This year I undertook a personal resolution to be actively engaged in ending period poverty.”

Valerie mobilised her local community and individual sponsors towards this mission. Through her #1000padCampaign they raised enough to provide 1000 girls in rural communities around town with sanitary materials. 

Impact

• +1,000 girls provided with access to sanitary materials 
• Conducted a peer learning programme at her school for period awareness.
• Reached over 10k social media users with period poverty awareness campaign.
